Kumamoto is a lot of nature and water, all the people in there has used it a long time. In such a environmental made to born Kumamoto's famous foods, which it also has long background.
At first, I introduce to BASASHI and KARASHIRENKON. They were made by kiyomasa kato who governed in HIGO in past time. HIGO is the name of old region in Japan, which it has changed Kumamoto. He was a strong captain in there. When the war of HIGO and another region, BASASHI and KARASHIRENKON were made for many their corps because of lack of foods. BASASHI is row fresh of horse meat, horse was often used many conflict. So he considered whether it can eat or not for his men. He tried eating the meat first. It is origin of BASASHI.
Next I explain to TAIPI-EN, which it is soup with a bean- starch vermicelli. In short, it's a Chinese soup but not really Chinese. In the past time, immigrant from Chinese came to Kumamoto. So they formed own culture, where TAIPI-EN was made by them. Also they taught Kumamoto's people how to make it, but it changed the shape day by day, Now the shape is different past time. School lunch in Kumamoto is sure served for it. Kumamoto's people love it very much.
Third, I will introduce Kumamoto's sweets. In the first instance I tell IKINARI DANGO. It is a Japanese style sweets, dumpling in sweet potato. Ikinari is Kumamoto's accent and means simple so it can make it easily. It makes us JIN DAIKO and MUSHAGAESHI is the most popular sweets for Kumamoto's people, which have no people who didn't eat it.
I like Kumamoto's food very much, it makes us remember our hometown or our grand-parents. The famous foods in kumamoto is the important thing in Kumamoto's culture, we must leave it to our futurity.

University essay
This around time, I think that I write and introduce about my University. My university has a lot of things to support student. I like my university, so I want many people to know good points of my university. There is the most popular university in the locals. Why is my university popular? I want to write the reason.
My university is Kumamoto Gakuen university, in short "KGU" . KGU has 4 faculity, It is the department of commercial science, economics, social welfare and foreign language. I belong to the department of foreign lunguage, major in English because I'm interested in foreign contry and international relations. So I decided to enter KGU which I can learn English and international relations. And I have the reason that KGU can go to study abroad. There are about 7000 student, KGU can go to university no matter though student has the job in during the daytime. They can study in nights.
My university has a lot of facility to support student. First, It is a big library, where has audio room that we can watch movies and listen to music. And there has computar room and private room in order to study too. A lot of students use it everyday. There is always quiet , I can study a long time. I proud of this library and I like it very much. Next I want to write "Extensoin center" , "Extension center" support to get something qualification which we will get a job in the future. For example, TOEIC, TOFEL , computar skils, licen sed tax accountant and skils that we will need the qualification, when I get the job. so on. A lot of students make the most of "Extension center". I want to use it someday. Third is "Foreign language center" There can study Foreign language, English, chinese and Korean. Especially there are going to study conversation.
My University has not only facilitiy to support but also facility to survice for student. For example , student cafeteria, convenience store , bakery, book shop. There are a lot of shops. Espessially, Bakery is most popular in my university. In lnuchtime , bakery and school cafeteria crowd with stubents. We can spend school life because of it.
KGU has vrious facility to support and service to students, so many people think that KGU consider KGU's students. There is no university which have vrious the school plant and consider student. Therefore KGU was loved in the locals. I want to study more English and various knowledge in KGU. This year KGU is built new scool building. From now on I want to hope KGU's development.

INTRODUCTION TO KUMAMOTO
Kumamoto has many wonderful places and things. Espesially, Kumaoto castle and Mt. Aso is very famous in Japan. On other point, Kumamoto has fresh water, so it is very important for our life. This time, I want to write the introduction it.
First, I think the most famous thing of Kumamoto. It is Kumamoto castle that it was made before 400 age. It is called the third beautiful castle in Japan. This year, 400 bildiing aniversary of the castle, so everywhere take place event. New Year's day of this year, the castle took place wonderful event. It was light art show that kumamoto has history. Then the castle the most famous thing for Kumamoto's people.
Seond, about Aso. Aso is very famous place in kumamoto. There' no one who don't know Aso in Kumamoto's people. Because Aso's caldera in number one all over the world. On this reason, Many people visit to see Aso's nature in there. There is people who come to overseas. Besides There has hotspring too. Aso is really interesting place. I live in there. I can see Mt.Aso from in front of my house.
Third, I want to write the famous place in Aso. Kusasenri is very beatiful place in Kumamoto. There is in Aso. it is worth visiting to you. On other spot, Aso Farmland and Cuddly Dominion is most popular place. In holiday, many people come to Aso.
Fainally, I think the most important thing in Kumamoto is fresh and abundant water.
Kumamoto is called "water island" because Kumamoto has abundant fresh water. I thought it is no wonder that I can drink water from the house, and I didn't belive people who buy the water in store. But it was rarely thing in Japan. I suprised, when I heard the truth. I pride of Kumamoto's water. I thought we have to protect abundant fresh water in Kumamoto. Then I think we must conserve a lot of nature and heritage which our ancester left culture.
